It all started back in 1980 in Cleveland, Ohio opposite Cleveland State University in downtown Cleveland. Mike and Fouly Frangos had been in the restaurant business for many years, but they were looking for something new, something that went beyond just fast food. They wanted it to be a place where people could come and hang out and have fun. What better than to name this new place Rascal House. From its beginnings as a place for students to get a quick, tasty and affordable lunch to becoming a favorite food habit throughout all of Cleveland, Rascal House Pizza has become a landmark.

What is the Franchise Fee?
The franchise Fee is $30,000

What is the term of the franchise agreement?
Your franchise agreement will have a term of 20 years.

Is there a continuing royalty fee?
The royalty fee is 4.75% of sales.

Is there an advertising fee?
Yes. Currently the advertising fee is 3% of gross sales.

Do I get a protected territory?
Yes. To insure the success of our franchisees, every site goes through our evaluation process and demographic study, which outlines boundaries and market availability for new and existing locations.

How much do I need to get started?
The total cost of a Rascal House Pizza cafe will vary depending on several factors. However, the total cost range (build out, training, equipment, operating capital, etc.) of our locations will be between $275,000 and $350,000.

How long does it take to open a Rascal House Pizza cafe?
Usually, a Rascal House Pizza cafe can be opened within 3 to 6 months from the time a franchise agreement has been signed, but may vary due to the following factors:

Will I receive assistance in finding a location for my Rascal House Pizza café?
Yes. While it is each franchisees contractual responsibility to determine which location is suitable for them, we will collectively review all available options/locations and approve a location that is mutually agreed upon and meets our criteria.

Who signs the lease?
In most cases, the master lease will be executed by the franchisee.

Do I receive training from Rascal House Pizza?
Our current training program consists of several training segments which will take 6-8 weeks to complete. The first segment consists of a minimum 180 hours of hands on experience in an operating Rascal House Pizza cafe. The next segment consists of classroom type leadership training which will cover all facets of operating a business such as marketing, accounting, hiring policies and procedures, cash management, customer relations, and other critical business matters. Once this portion of the training is complete, the franchisee will spend an additional 80 hours hands on with testing. The Rascal House Pizza team will then assist you at the opening of your new restaurant with a total of 10 days in your store.

What type of ongoing support will I receive?
An area representative will be an integral part of our support in assisting you in your business development.

A Rascal House Pizza representative will visit regularly and will
remain available to answer business questions and help monitor and guide your stores performance.

A series of manuals are also provided in training that will assist
you in the operation of your Rascal House Pizza café.

An ongoing regional corporately sponsored training event which will
include a newsletter or handout is available to your team to keep you informed of new management tips, research and development, and important events occurring throughout the Rascal House Pizza franchise system. This program helps keep franchisees informed on a variety of subjects and provides an opportunity to interact with other franchisees and Rascal House Pizza¹s management team.

Can I open more than one store?
Yes. We encourage those franchisees, who are qualified, to open multiple locations and purchase territory rights. Based on your application, financial information, and prior experience, you may be eligible to purchase more than one Rascal House Pizza café up front.

How do I get started?
The first step is to complete the online application/request form for consideration. This does not obligate you or Rascal House Pizza USA Inc. in any way. The information is simply used to determine whether or not owning a Rascal House Pizza café is right for you. Upon receipt and review a representative from our Franchise Development team will contact you, address your questions and arrange a personal meeting if applicable. At the first meeting you will be given a Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC) for review. This document contains all the information required by the Federal Trade Commission and/or the particular state in which your Rascal House Pizza café will be located. A copy of our franchise agreement is included in the UFOC. Our UFOC will enable you to diligently understand our franchise program.
