Whether it's filling your tummy with our warm slices, or lifting your spirits with our toe-tapping music, our goal is to be the highlight of your shopping day. That's why we recruit the nicest, most generous, most honest and authentic people we can find. We want people who love to give without expecting anything in return. Next, we take that caring into our communities. We are always looking for opportunities to give that little extra service for which small bakeries are known. We are happy to provide free bread for fundraisers, charity dinners, PTA meetings - you name it. We love to give tours of our bakeries (especially to little kids) and look for reasons to speak to large groups. We are equally passionate about the quality of our whole wheat bread. It is at the core of who we are. We will always be a whole wheat products company. That’s because we think whole-wheat bread tastes better than almost anything else, especially when it's made with fresh ground flour and combined with other simple ingredients. There is just something about the way that nutty rich taste of wheat combines with honey, yeast and salt that keeps us coming back every time. It’s true whole-wheat is better for you than other kinds of bread. It keeps you regular if nothing else! It’s also true that whole wheat is less processed and therefore kinder to our environment than other kinds of bread. But, the truth is, we love this business first because there is just nothing like the smell, taste and feel of a hot loaf of whole wheat bread being pulled fresh out of the oven.
